I tried everything to lose weight and was the Queen of fad wt loss diets. I jumped on any wt loss diet bandwagon that sounded interesting or promised results.
I would chew my food 32 times in an attempt to slow my eating down and eat less. This does not work with all foods, however. Take chocolate, for instance, ever try chewing a piece of chocolate 32 times?
I then thought that chewing the food and spitting it out would be one of the good wt loss diets. This was gross and left me feel ashamed and hopeless.
Yes, I did try more traditional wt loss diets and some were successful for a while. But, nothing stuck because I could not keep up with the wt loss diets plan or I cut back so severely that I was always hungry, moody, and about ready to bite someone’s head off.
Do you know what happens to the typical dieter on one of the typical wt loss diets?
Yes, crazy stat isn’t it! And, this statistic is even higher if you look at all the fad wt loss diets out there.
So out of 100 brand-spanking new, and highly motivated dieters, trying to shed pounds fast through fad wt loss diets and lose quick schemes, maybe 3 or 4 actually end up losing any weight at all.
The remaining 96 or 97 people return to their old eating habits and because they felt so deprived while on the crazy wt loss diets, they end up overeating and weighing more by the next month than they did before starting the wt loss diets.
And yet despite these ridiculous odds, I managed to lose the extra weight and I became one of the people who not only started one of the smart wt loss diets, but found unbelievable peace with food.
Over the past year I have not daydreamed about food or felt controlled by food at all.
Yes, it feels amazing, especially because food was my “Master” for so many years and I truly felt that I might die before I figured out how to live in peace with food.
When you feel like I did, it is painful, but then to “figure it out” and find success…it is almost like hitting the lotto. Or being pardoned from a life-sentence in jail.

A way that filled me up, and let me eat real and satisfying foods like bread, fruit, whole eggs, butter, and nuts.
